About Us
Welcome to the PharmGenEd™ Program. We are delighted that you are interested in learning about and/or using shared curriculum materials to teach others to apply pharmacogenomic concepts into clinical practice.
The program core team members are faculty and staff at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS). UCSD faculty includes Grace M. Kuo, PharmD, MPH, PhD; Kelly Lee, PharmD, MAS; Sarah McBane, PharmD; and Nathan Painter, PharmD. We work with pharmacogenomics experts to produce educational materials, which are peer-reviewed by clinicians and researchers.
We openly share lecture videos and slide handouts at no cost to viewers; however, all faculty trainers must first meet specific requirements then request additional materials (lecture slides and speaker notes) for each specific module(s).
If you have any questions, requests, or suggestions, please contact the Program Director, Grace M. Kuo, PharmD, MPH, PhD, FCCP at:

PharmGenEd™ was started with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, Grant NumberIU38GD000070) between 2008 and 2012. We worked with the CDC Office of Public Health Genomics to conduct translational research in genomic clinical applications. We are part of the CDC’s GAPPNet (Genomic Applications in Practice and Prevention Network), which helps to streamline the integration of validated genomic information into practice and accelerate translation research and programs to fill the gaps in evidence as well as in implementation. We thank our collaborating authors-speakers, peer-reviewers, and consultants who share their expertise with us all.
